Some Thoughts about Karma

The journey of letting go often stirs dormant impressions or Samskaras. In Hindu and Vedic philosophy, your life experiences are influenced by accumulated karma.

When you intentionally focus on releasing attachments and old patterns, it will feel like life’s circumstances are “hitting you harder.”

To be clear, karma is not your fault but a natural learning process that reveals our hidden dependencies. It is the natural law of cause and effect. It is a neutral force that allows us to approach life’s challenges with acceptance and humility.

“You do not have to worry about your karma. Do your duty with love, surrender to the Divine, and your soul will be free.”
-Paramahansa Yogananda

The intensity you feel in times like this is not a punishment but rather the natural unfolding of the karmic process—an opportunity to purify old layers of blockages and the burning away of impurities, which awakens one to more profound spiritual clarity.

The ultimate act of surrender is to gratefully and enthusiastically accept the role of karma in one’s life. It is among the highest forms of honoring the Devine force and presence. It is your catalyst for awakening.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Do not resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
-Lao Tzu

“Karma is not a punishment; it is a teacher. It helps us understand the interconnectedness of our actions and the lives we touch.”

-Dalai Lama

“Karma is not meant to bind us. It is a force of nature that awakens us to act from our highest consciousness.”

-Sri Aurobindo

“Karma is like a man planting a seed. It is neither good nor bad in itself, but it will bear fruit in accordance with its nature.”

-Meher Baba

“Karma is the unconscious repetition of patterns. Awareness is the end of karma.”

-Eckhart Tolle

“Do not grieve over your past karma. All that you experience is refining you, bringing you closer to the Beloved.”

-Rumi
